Kieran Jordan Irish dancer in performance

”Kieran's philosophy is clear and clean in her dancing: rock-solid, light but sturdy, with a puckish sense of humor and a big smile on its face.”

— Dan Accardi, Musician

”When Kieran dances, you can’t help but be drawn in. I’ve never seen anyone so connected to the music. I think she is very true to both the roots and progression of Irish dance.“

— Ananda Henriksen, Dancer

”My wife and I both agree. You stole the show at the Celtic Sojourn. All the way home, I kept saying, what a dancer…what an athlete…what fluid elegance!“

Atlantic Steps

Touring the US

Atlantic Steps is the inspiring story of Ireland’s oldest dance form, sean-nós. Centered around the vision of extraordinary Irish dancer Brian Cunningham and leading US choreographer Kieran Jordan, the show turns the focus back to a spontaneous, improvised dance tradition, revitalizing steps that originate from Ireland’s West Coast, on a journey of intersection with new styles across the Atlantic.

The show comprises an exceptional cast of dancers and musicians from both sides of the Atlantic, with specially commissioned visual projections from Irish artist Vincent Crotty. Unique within the genre of post-Riverdance Irish dance shows, Atlantic Steps continues to move festival and theatre audiences to their feet, playing an important role in the renaissance of sean-nós dance far beyond its Irish origins.

Double Bill with Matt and Shannon Heaton CD release

Winner of Live Ireland’s “Trad Fusion Album of the Year,” they move seamlessly from harmony singing to driving flute tunes, to lush guitar lines, creating a big, layered, modern sound. This performance will mark the triumphant release of a brand new CD.

Sharing the bill will be a recently formed trio that features the fiddling of Laurel Martin, the diverse talents of Mark Roberts and the percussive footwork and old style Irish dancing of Kieran Jordan.
