Celebrating Irish Music and Dance with Live Performance, Historical Images and Commentary
Join us for an evening performance exploring the fascinating history and evolution of Irish traditional music and dance. This program will be hosted by master fiddle player Séamus Connolly, Boston College's Sullivan Artist-in-Residence in Irish Programs, and by Kieran Jordan, an award-winning performer, choreographer, and teacher in the field of Irish dance. They will be joined by BC Irish music faculty Sheila Falls and Jimmy Noonan, and other special guests. Irish dance and music performances will be interspersed with commentary, images and cultural storytelling. Traditional Irish costumes, medals and shoes will also be on display.
